The Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting was held in December 2003 in Abuja, Nigeria, Chinwe’s birth place. This was the inspiration behind her initiative for Celebrate! Nigerian Art for the Commonwealth; a highly successful project comprising an art exhibition inviting contemporary artists from various regions to exhibit, an art education programme, and accompanying book.
